Our Story

On Sunday, January 1, 2023, we officially worshipped as Solid Rock GMC.  Our opening hymn is always the first verse to "On Christ the Solid Rock, I stand." We started Small Groups that met in people's homes, all studying God's Word together.  

In the weeks that followed, our challenge was to pray, "Lord, show us Your will and give us the courage to obey." God opened lots of doors and has blessed us in amazing ways.

Our goals for 2025 can be summed up with God KNOWs:
Kneel before our Maker (Psalm 95:6-7; Philippians 2:9-11)
No opportunity wasted (Ephesians 5:15)
Obey God's Word (John 14:15)
Witness of His blessings (Psalm 67:1-7)

Solid Rock set a goal of reaching out to the community and world through at least One mission per Quarter!!!  We have participated and aided with Special Needs Baseball League in Craven County, The Filling Station (Pollocksville, NC), New Bern Area Crop Walk, and Operation Christmas Child.  We also sponsor a Compassion International Child in the Philippines.

Solid Rock has hosted Vacation Bible School and Missionaries from Japan (Rev. Ronald Julian). We have also supported the Slavic Gospel Association and Rev. Yuko Miller Missionary efforts in Japan/Philippines.

God has blessed us with more space to grow!!!!  In December 2024, Solid Rock leased an annex space for offices and meetings while opening up more space for children in our main building!!!! God is so good!
